Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | Battle of Af Urur |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The image shall serve as primary means of visual identification, at the top of the article in question, and shall illustrate the deadliest insurgent attack in the history of Puntland. |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
The Battle of Af Urur was the deadliest insurgent/terrorist attack in Puntland since the state's foundation in 1998;[1] text alone is not sufficient to convey the gravity of this event. Furthermore, the image illustrates the ramshackle nature of the military base and shows under which conditions the opponents have to operate in the Galaga mountains. A free alternative is not obtainable, as no images of the battle are known to exist other than those taken by Al-Shabaab, which area all copyright-protected. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | Used in one article only. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
The image in question is of low resolution, and therefore of little commercial use. |
