English: Statue by Frank Nix in the E.A. Borgerstraat in Katwijk, Netherlands, entitled: "Afbraak, evacuatie en wederopbouw" (Demolition, evacuation and reconstruction). It refers to the partial demolition and evacuation of the town by the Germans during the second World War to allow for the construction of the Atlantic Wall; and to its reconstruction after 1945. The monument is from 1990.
Nederlands: Standbeeld door Frank Nix in de E.A. Borgerstraat in Katwijk, getiteld: "Afbraak, evacuatie en wederopbouw". Het beeld verwijst naar de gedeeltelijke afbraak en evacuatie van Katwijk door de Duitsers tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog ten behoeve van de bouw van de Atlantikwall, en naar Katwijk's herbouw na 1945. Het monument dateert uit 1990.
