English: Two schoolgirls watch through a window as soldiers from the Bamyan Malaysian Contingent, which is part of the Bamyan Provinicial Reconstruction Team, install a bio-sand filter water system on their school grounds near the town of Bamyan June 18, 2012. There are more than 120,000 children enrolled in school in the province, of which nearly half are girls. The Malaysian Contingent in Bamyan has a goal of standing up 50 clinics and schools in the province during their six-month deployment. (Photo ID: 607642) |
