Miniature sur ivoire d'Aimée Thibault, signée en bas à droite. 11,8 x 9,5 cm. Provenance : Général Eloi-Charlemagne Taupin (1767-1814) Général de brigade (1807 puis de division (1813). Demeurée dans la même famille depuis.
English: Portrait of the King of Rome (Napoleon II), as a child, writing to his father (Napoleon I). The child, surrounded by his toys, writes a letter where we can decipher the sentence (in french): "Écrire à papa que je l’aime bien..." (translation : "Write to dad that I like him ...") Miniature on ivory by Aimée Thibault. 11,8 x 9,5 cm. Provenance : General Eloi-Charlemagne Taupin (1767-1814), than his family.
