English: Albanerpeton is a genus of Albanerpetontidae that lived from Cretaceous to Pliocene period in Europe and North America. While looks like a salamander, Albanerpeton and its close relatives do not belong to Urodela (salamander group). Their similarity are only a result of convergent evolution.
