English: An impromptu acoustic set featuring one of my idols on acoustic guitar, Peter Buck from R.E.M. (second from the left).
Also in the band - Scott McCaughey (extra musician in R.E.M. from 1995 until their 2011 breakup, also founding member of The Minus 5), Alejandro Escovedo (Texas legend, lead vocals/guitar), John Moen (drums), Kelly Hogan (backing vocals), and Kurt Bloch (on the far right, guitar). This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. To be in a crowd of no more than 30 in a hotel lobby watching Peter Buck was beyond mind-blowing. Photo taken on April 26, 2017 |
