English: Alexander Ratiu is the 5th person from the left to the right on the back row. Bishop Valeriu Traian Frenţiu (1872-1952) is sitting. Before May 1947, when he was arrested for his opposition to the Communist dictatorhips, Alexander Ratiu had served as a priest in Giurtelecu Şimleului. After only a few months of freedom in 1948, Ratiu was imprisoned and confined to labor camps until 1964. Română: Alexandru Rațiu este a 5-a persoana de la stânga spre dreapta în rândul din spate. Episcopul Valeriu Traian Frențiu este asezat. Alexandru Rațiu a urmat studii teologice la Oradea și Roma. La jumatatea anilor 1940, Alexandru Rațiu a preluat postul de paroh la Giurtelecu Șimleului. În mai 1947 a fost arestat pentru acțiunile sale anticomuniste. |
