Description

A tutu made in the 1940s for dancer Alexandra Danilova (1903–1997). According to the sign in the display case at the New York Public Library, this tutu was "originally created for Danilova's infamous 'red swan'; she chose this tutu over the traditional black costume when she danced the role of Odile in Swan Lake."
