All Saints Church, Earsham, Norfolk, mural monument to Lieut. John William Dalling (1769–1786), who died in 1786, aged 17, at Madras in India. He was the eldest son and heir apparent of w:Sir John Dalling, 1st Baronet (c.1731-1798) of Burwood Park in the County of Surrey, soldier and colonial administrator, the son of John Dalling (1697–1744), of Bungay, Suffolk, by his wife Catherine Windham (d.1738), a daughter of Colonel William Windham (1673–1730), of Earsham Hall, the second son of William Windham I, of Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk. Also for Charles Lawford Dalling, second son of Sir John Dalling, 1st Baronet, who died April 16th, 1789, in the 17th year of his age. (Source: Edmund Farrer, Church Heraldry of Norfolk, p.9[1]).
