Summary

Description
English: Aloe maculata (=A.saponaria) is a low-growing species that propagates by suckers and to some extent by seed and with encouragement it forms a useful ground cover in arid regions. Its leaves are handsomely spotted, so it is attractive even when not in flower, but produces a fine show for several weeks in summer. Pollinators, both birds and insects visit it avidly for both nectar and pollen.
