Description
English: Gable stone from Woudrichem depicting Altena Castle. It came from a house on Hoogstraat which was demolished in 1853. Hendrik van Diggelen then moved the stone (or a copy) to his estate Landgoed Altenae in Gilze Rijen.
Nederlands: Gevelsteen uit Woudrichem met Kasteel van Altena. Deze steen werd begin 1900 waargenomen in Woudrichem, even buiten de vesting. Hij was afkomstig van een huis uit de Hoogstraat. Na het slopen van dat huis in 1853 was de steen of een kopie daarvan, verhuist naar Landgoed Altenae in Gilze Rijen.
