English: We continue to commemorate 60 years of #USWithUganda relations. The @FulbrightPrgrm in 🇺🇬 is a 70-year relationship of academic exchange between the US & UG. Today we highlight Fulbright alumna Hon. Joyce Mpanga, an alum of Indiana University (1962), a shining example of change-making contributions that alumni of the @fulbrightprogram make in their countries. Hon. Mpanga is a former legislator (twice a Cabinet Minister, MP), educationist (teacher - Makerere College School & HM - @gayazahigh School), & a women’s rights champion. Hon. Mpanga also participated in rewriting the Uganda constitution in 1995. Through degree programs, research, & teaching opportunities, the @FulbrightPrgrm and the Fulbrighters have impacted 🇺🇬 & the lives of countless others across the globe. |
