Appalachians_and_Appalachia_Map_v2.jpg (402 × 576 pixels, file size: 79 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Description |
I created this composite map for public domain use, incorporating a map image from the National Atlas of the United States, a U.S. Government publication, thus in the public domain. This version (v2) corrects the name of the lower segment of the Appalachian Mountains from "Southern Appalachians" to "Central Appalachians". Note: the Adirondacks in New York are wrongfully outlined as part of the Appalachian chain, but are in fact part of the Canadian Shield - a separate and distinct range. Bear this in mind when using the map. |
