English: Drawing of the original openwork crenellations decorating the interior courtyard of the Aqmar Mosque in Cairo. Drawn by James William Wild in the 1840s. These decorations had disappeared by the early 20th century and have been replaced by different crenellations during modern restorations of the mosque.
