My great-grandfather James Boyd, standing, married Helen Cleghorn in 1888. My grandpa James Boyd was born in 1889, the year Kaʻiulani left for School in England. Helen is standing behind in black, and Rose is seated with her keiki. All the keiki pictured are probably Rose Cleghorn Robertson’s, the eldest daughter. This photo was likely taken in 1888 or 1889 just before Kaʻiulani left for England. Likelike died in early 1887. Helen is likely hāpai with her first child, James. Annie Cleghorn was the youngest daughter of Archie, and accompanied Kaʻiulani to England and attended school with her.
