Summary

Description Adelpha eulalia, Arizona Sister (previously classified as Adelpha bredowii eulalia). The butterflies are taking sap from a wound in the trunk of Quercus emoryii, which is also a host plant for the larval form (caterpillar) of the butterfly. Also in the image are two Asterocampa leilia butterflies which are harder to see. Superstition Wilderness, Arizona, USA.
