Object history Salon de 1833, nº2161. Armand Carrel fut tué lors d'un duel qui l'opposait à Émile de Girardin. Un portrait de Carrel sur son lit de mort, par Ary Scheffer, est conservé au musée de Rouen (inv.897.3).
