From the sign displayed by the car:
"A rare early model offered by Austin as a sporting version on the 18-24 chassis. It uses a large 5-litre 4-cylinder engine with two camshafts and dual ignition driving through a four-speed gearbox to a very high-ratio rear axle giving relaxed relatively high speed cruising.
"The car has been stored for about 60 years in its life, is completely original, even all its original tools and leather tool-wrap are with it.
"A complete restoration was done by the entrants 12 years ago and because of the very low mileage covered from new no replacement parts were needed, it was only a matter of cleaning and re-fitting everything."
