English: Australian War Memorial Caption: Kuching, Sarawak, 1945-09-11. After the surrender ceremony at Kuching, No 9 Australian Division, Kuching Force Commander, Brig T.C. Eastick, accompanied by Lt Col A.W. Walsh, CO 2/10th Field Regiment, No 8 Australian Division (a Prisoner of War) and Col T. Suga, Commandant of all Prisoner of War Camps in Borneo, visited the Prisoner of War and Internee Camp of Kuching. A parade was held at which the prisoners were informed of their liberation. Shown, the section of the parade in front of Brig Eastick listening to the address."
