DescriptionAylesbury Vale Parkway station SE view geograph-3244036-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Aylesbury Vale Parkway station.
View SE, towards Aylesbury and London. This is a new station, opened 14/12/08, on the former Metropolitan & GC Joint main line from London (Marylebone) to Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, etc., which was joint (from Harrow-on-the Hill) with the Metropolitan Line from Baker Street to Verney Junction. The line north of Aylesbury had been closed since 3/9/66, but kept in use for trains of household waste to Claydon via Calvert and for access to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road.
