Deutsch: Die ehemalige Mergelkuhle von Hondelage. Sie befindet sich am Rand der „Hondelager Juramulde“ und hier wurden bereits zwei Ichthyosaurier und das Skelett eines Steneosaurus gefunden. Am unteren Bildrand ist ein 8 m langer Bereich erkennbar, in dem der Posidonienschiefer freigelegt ist. Anmerkung: Die Rauchentwicklung am Horizont rührt vom Brand eines Traktors her.
English: The former marl pit of Hondelage, Germany. It's located in the fringe zone of the Hondelage jurassic trough. Here two Ichthyosaurs aud the skeleton of a Steneosaurus have been found. At the bottom of the image there is an 8 m long stretch of Posidonia Shale exposed. Remark: the black smoke at the horizon is caused by a burning tractor. |
