Description
English: Benjamin Rush House on the NRHP since August 2, 1984, on Boot Road, near Kirkland Road, in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, north of West Chester. Built in 1908 for an insurance company president named Benjamin Rush, not for the signer of the Declaration of Independence. The architect was George Bispham Page, who had apprenticed in the firm of Cope & Stewardson, and in 1912 partnered with Emlyn Stewardson to form the firm of Stewardson & Page. Datestone with 1908 - BMR on the front (this is the back). Now part of a complex for handicapped education.
