The "Beach House" reported to be the first building on Sidmouth’s seafront, built circa 1790 in plain Georgian style with thatched “shed” (open fronted shelter) attached. The “shed” much frequented by gentry as a meeting place. Gothicised circa 1826 and named “Blossom House”. A fine example of Sidmouth Gothic architecture. |
