Notes The still life artfully painted in mainly ochre and brown tones is hiding several moralities and warning against sins within. The oysters have been since ancient times, known for their aphrodisiacal effects and at the same time encouraged the appetite. Therefore, their consumption along with wine and olives enhances desire and leads to immodesty.
