English: Beeston Weir, is across the River Trent at Beeston, Nottinghamshire. To the left is Beeston Lock, the entry to the Beeston Canal. To the right is the Beeston Hydro- a micro hydro electric scheme. The weir is known for its wild water- in July 2017, twelve year old Owen Jenkins lost his life helping a girl from the water.
