English: Beighton Junction (ie the original 1849 junction) on the Derbyshire/Yorkshire border, England, 27 November 1977. Train travelling northwards and turning to the west. Photographer on the ex-Midland Railway "Old Road", locomotive on the ex-MSLR Beighton Branch. Trains between Chesterfield and Sheffield were diverted because of engineering work.Sidings to the left were between the Old Road and the ex-GCR main line to London Marylebone, out of sight to the left. |
