Summary

Description
English: Benjamin Gerrish Gray aged 85 and his wife Anne Eliza (nee Wiggins) aged 83 on their golden wedding in 1903, standing in front of their house 4 Inverness Gardens, Kensington, London, England. He was a senior Bank Manager, having been a Partner in BCT Gray and Sons from 1856-1858. He was born in Bermuda; she in New Brunswick. They married in St John, New Brunswick on 12 October 1853, and migrated back to England soon afterwards. Both the Gerrish and the Gray families were important First Settler families, the Grays in Boston, MA, the Gerrishes in Salem, MA (and other towns in MA and NH) and later in Nova Scotia. Thus both families can be traced from England to New England and back. Similarly, Thomas Wiggins came from Battersea, England and migrated to New York; 6 generations later Eliza moved back to England.
