The house was built around 1886, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and badly damaged in a 1980 fire. As of 2012 it is no longer standing at its original location.

Photo is on page 32 and is cited to the Union County Historical Society - the book's introduction indicates that the photos are taken from historic postcards and this is stated to be from 1910.
