Deutsch: Der Erweiterungsbau der ehemaligen Reichsbank in der Kurstraße 36/40 in Berlin-Mitte, heute zum Auswärtigen Amt gehörig. Der Bau wurde 1933 nach Entwürfen von Heinrich Wolff als erstes nationalsozialistisches Großbauprojekt in Berlin begonnen und erst 1940 fertiggestellt. In der DDR-Zeit war das Gebäude Sitz des ZK der SED. Es ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
English: Expansion of the former Reichsbank building at Kurstraße No. 36/40 in Berlin-Mitte, now part of the German Federal Foreign Ministry (Auswärtiges Amt) complex. Construction started in 1933 to a design by Heinrich; this was the first major building project of the Nazis in Berlin. Construction was completed as late as 1940. The building used to be seat of the Central Committee of the East German Communist Party (SED). It has been designated as a historic landmark.
