Les Big Brother Awards (Prix Big Brother), est une cérémonie de remise de prix à destination « [des] gouvernements et [des] entreprises… qui font le plus pour menacer la vie privée ». La cérémonie est organisée par l'association Privacy International. Son nom vient du personnage emblématique de l'État policier d'Océania dans le roman 1984 de George Orwell.
English: Big Brother Awards France 2013. The Big Brother Awards recognize "the government and private sector organizations ... which have done the most to threaten personal privacy". They are named after the George Orwell character Big Brother from the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. They are awarded yearly to authorities, companies, organisations, and persons that have been acting particularly and consistently to threaten or violate people's privacy, or disclosed people's personal data to third parties.
