Summary

Description
English: First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 N. 27th St., Billings, Montana. Founded in 1882, First Congregational is the oldest church in the city.

The church's bell was cast in 1889 by the Clinton H. Meneely Company of Troy, New York. After the old church building was demolished in 1956, the bell was moved to the bell tower of the new edifice that was built on the same site. The steeple of the old bell tower is now located at Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ.

On one side, the bell is inscribed: "Clinton H. Meneely Bell Company, Troy, N. Y."

On the other side, the bell is inscribed: "The Congregational Church of Billings, Mont. A. D. 1889. S. A. Wallace, Pastor."
