| Description |
English: The bus terminus in Haven Green, Ealing, London. Infront is the normal scene of a First London bus DN33611 (reg. SN09 CGV), a 2009 Alexander Dennis Enviro400 operating route E1. Drawing the crowds however is 2011 built Arriva London bus LT1 (reg. LT61 AHT), the first of the batch of 8 pre-production working prototypes of the New Bus for London, parked here while on a tour around the city for public viewings, prior to entering trial revenue earning service on Arriva's London Buses route 38 as additional short worked extras. With DN33611 representing probably the most numerous new double-decker type entering London service at this time, and with LT1 conceived as a 21st century interpretation of the rear open platform design of the 1950s Routemaster, it's pretty hard to say which is the 'newer' bus in this scene. |
