English: Bouchout Castle (Meise, Belgium). Statue of Daniël van Bouchout at the wall of the public Castle Court (Erekoer). The statue was placed during the 1832 renovations of Bouchout Castle. In that period, count Amedeus de Beauffort (1806-1858) owned the Castle. The renovations were directed by the architect Tieleman Franciscus Suys (1783-1861). Knight Daniël van Bouchout gloriously fought at the battle of Worringen (1288) and played an important role in the history of the Duchy of Brabant.
