Deutsch: Das Gebiet steht seit 1979 unter Naturschutz. Es gehört zum Flora-Fauna-Habitat-Gebiet "Waldviertler Teich-, Heide- und Moorlandschaft" , "Vogelschutzgebiet Waldviertel" und zum Ramsargebiet "Waldviertler Teich-, Moor- und Flusslandschaft". Mit seinen 38,7 ha zählt der Bruneiteich zu den größten Fischteichen des Waldviertels.
