DescriptionChandler House, Old S Main Street, Walton, KY - 52718662187.jpg
English: Built in 1920, this Arts and Crafts-style side-gable bungalow was once owned by the Chandler family. Note that this house is very challenging to photograph, as it is surrounded by many trees that obscure it from the street, and is oriented east towards the original alignment of Main Street, which is now a driveway on private property, and the heavily modified west facade, originally the rear, is the most visible. The house features a painted brick exterior, decorative brackets on the gable ends, three-over-one double-hung windows, a concrete base, a porch with paired doric columns on brick piers and wooden railings, gabled and shed dormers, and wooden shingles on the gable ends. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
