English: Channels Farmhouse In Channels Farm Road, Swaythling, tucked away from the main A27 is an ancient thatched farm house, dating from the 1500s or 1600s. Richard Channell occupied the building in 1715, giving the name to the farm and house. The thatched structure was originally part of the Fleming Estate until it was sold in 1947. Subsequent development make it difficult to imagine its original rustic setting.
