Description
English: Large river gunboat built for ROCN, Ming Chuen (民权) is a slightly increased variant in tonnage of Hsien Ning (咸宁) with slightly changed armament. It was commissioned by Navy of Peoples Republic of China as Chang Jiang (长江). She served in PRC Naval Forces up to the end of 1970s and preserved as memorial. In 1981 she was broken up because of political reasons. The photo was taken in 1930 by ROCN photographer when Ming Chuen is completing her sea trial.
中文(简体):长江号炮舰原为中华民国海军民权号,是少数在抗战中全身活到战后的国府军舰。1949年末在重庆被解放军俘获。之后更名为长江号,列入华东军区海军第七舰队。1953年2月19日,时任国家主席毛泽东视察了长江号,之后乘坐它巡行了长江。1978年8月1日长江号被拖曳上岸,成为人民海军的第一艘纪念舰。1981年7月,长江号在纪念馆内被就地拆毁。 这是民权号1930年完工海试时的照片。
