Summary

Description Floating ceiling effect at top of columns between windows. Church Army Chapel, Blackheath, London, England. The columns were faced with white leather for fine acoustic adjustment, but most of this was removed between 1994 and 2009 by decorators who did not know what it was for. The lighting is a recent addition. The wood-panelled ceiling and textured glass are visible in this picture.
