English: Mugshot of Cleo Wright from July 1940. He pleaded guilty to the May 16 theft of $15.95 from the Sikeston Sales Company, his former employer. Wright was sentenced to two years imprisonment, but was released on parole after seven months. On January 25, 1942, Wright was lynched by a white mob in Sikeston, Missouri.
