Summary

Description
English: Cloisters at Sidney Sussex College These cloisters give their name to Cloister Court (originally New Court), built in 1890-91. The door at the far end is the Fellows' Gate, which leads into Jesus Lane; Fellows can come in and out of the College at any time. This was quite important in the days when the main gates were locked at 10pm, though less so nowadays. The benches on the right used to form the main seating in Hall. It is only within the last ten years or so that they were replaced by individual chairs.
