DescriptionCoat of arms of Charles, Duke of Berry (1686-1714).png
English: Coat of arms of Charles, Duke of Berry (1686-1714) a grandson of King Louis XIV of France. As the son of the Dauphin, heir apparent to the throne, he held the rank of fils de France ("son of France"), rather than petit-fils de France ("grandson of France"). The Duke of Berry was for seven years heir presumptive to the throne of Spain (1700–1707), until his brother Philip V fathered a son in 1707.
