Description Co(OH)2 nanotubes: (a,b, SWNT; c, double-layer nanotube). Spiral structures and tubes can coexist by altering the reaction conditions (d,e). One end of the tube shows a clear transit from a helical structure to a tubular structure by enlarging the area in the red square of (d). Scale bars: (a) 500 nm, inset, 200  nm; (b) 500  nm; (c,e) 50 nm; (d) 100  nm.
