DescriptionCobh Junction Station, Co Cork, 1973 - geograph.org.uk - 362615.jpg
English: Cobh Junction Station, Co Cork, 1973. Cobh Junction station is the point at which the old "main line" to Midleton and Youghal struck off to the left. The branch line to Cobh, which is still an important commuter route, goes straight ahead.
The Midleton line was mothballed for many years and may see a reintroduction of passenger services at some stage.
The station was photographed in August 1973. See also my photograph of Fota Station, about a mile towards Cobh.
