Description
La dama está retratada en pie de tres cuartos, ligeramente girada hacia la izquierda, en una pose muy relajada con las manos entrelazadas. Hija del General Miramón, fusilado junto al emperador Maximiliano, la dama residía en Roma cuando fue retratada por el pintor. Destaca en la condesa la ausencia de joyas y vestidos lujosos reduciéndose al abrigo el único elemento de cierta ostentación. Éste es utilizado para dar a la imagen un sentido de instantaneidad al estar casualmente reposando sobre los brazos de la retratada, como si apenas se lo hubiera quitado de los hombros.
