Description
English: The Nicolás Avellaneda transporter bridge during its construction. The bridge was inaugurated on May 31, 1914, joining the neighborhoods of La Boca (city of Buenos Aires) with Dock Sud (Avellaneda Partido).
The Nicolás Avellaneda bridge had been built by Earl of Dudley Steel company of England, by a request from Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway. Scottish engineer Santiago Lumsden was in charge during construction.[1]
