View NE, towards Purley, East Croydon and London (Victoria/London Bridge): London - Croydon - Redhill - Brighton etc. main line, on the Croydon - Redhill section originally built jointly by the London & Brighton and South Eastern Railways and owned by the latter. It was named 'Coulsdon & Cane Hill' until 1923. (See also TQ3059 : Coulsdon North: Down the lines towards Redhill and Brighton, 1983).
