English: Court Place Iffley, from the churchyard Once the manor and court house, this later became the venue for a number of notable residents and visitors. Hannah Pearsall Smith and her daughter who married Bernard Shaw lived here, George Santayana featured the place in a novel and The Warsaw Concerto was composed here by Richard Addinsell when a guest. The Egyptologist, Sir Allen Gardiner was the last owner and left it to the university in 1964 since when it has been graduate accommodation.
