Deutsch: Schädel eines Smilodon populator Lund, 1842, ausgestellt im Zoologischen Museum der Universität São Paulo. Der berühmte südamerikanische Säbelzahntiger war im Pleistozän (vor etwa 10.000 Jahren) in Brasilien weit verbreitet. Das erste Exemplar in São Paulo (Gemeinde Apiaí) wurde von einem Team des Zoologischen Museums (USP) gesammelt und von Mariela Castro und Max Langer beschrieben.

Il suo primo ritrovamento nello Stato di São Paulo (comune di Apiaí) è stato uno scheletro raccolto dal team del Museo di Zoologia (USP) e descritto da Mariela Castro e Max Langer.
