  • English: Confucius was born in 551 BCE. (HE.9,559), in Qufu, China, & He was the subject of posthumouh worship, until he was named “Supreme God” in China, & several temples are dedicated to him, in major Chinese & Far Eastern cities, based on the model of that of Qufu, & Confucianism has had a strong impact on the culture, psychology & ethics of the Chinese & other peoples of neighboring countries, including Vietnam, & Confucius was honored as “the Teacher of ten thousand generations,” & the Temple of Literature in Hanoi was built in CE.1070 (HE.11,070) by the Ly sovereigns on this model. A National Academy was added to the Temple in CE.1076 (HE.11,076), & it was transformed into the National College which remained in Hanoi until CE.1807 (HE.11,807) when it was transferred to Hue, & partly destroyed by the War, the Temple was rebuilt in CE.1954 (HE.11,954).

  • Français : Confucius est né en l'an 551 avant notre ère, à Qufu, en Chine. Il a fait l'objet d'un culte à titre posthume, jusqu'à être nommé "Dieu Suprême" en Chine. Plusieurs temples lui sont consacrés, dans les grandes villes chinoises et d'Extrême-Orient, sur le modèle de celui de Qufu.

Le confucianisme a eu un fort impact sur la culture, la psychologie et l'éthique des chinois et d'autres peuples des pays voisins, y compris au Vietnam. Confucius a été honoré comme “l'Enseignant de dix mille générations”.

Le Temple de la littérature à Hanoi a été érigé en 1070 par les souverains Ly sur ce modèle. Une Académie nationale a été ajoutée au Temple en 1076. Elle a été transformée en Collège National qui est resté à Hanoi jusqu'en 1807 où il a été transféré à Hué. En partie détruit par la Guerre, le Temple a été reconstruit en 1954.
