Summary

Description
English: A secession flag was raised in the vicinity of Dockery’s drinking saloon, in La Porte, on Wednesday. A piece of white cotton cloth, ornamented with a charcoal sketch of a palmetto tree and black snake, comprised the contraband article. The rag didn’t hang out long.
